Tim-Andrews

Tim Andrews – Beautiful Decay

This is Tim Andrews he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and left his job as a solicitor, he then started on a artistic journey. He has been photographed by over 100 different photographers (too name a few Rankin, Harry Borden, Liz Orton, Roberto Foddai) at different stages of his illness, It was an honor and an inspiration to meet Tim and to be a part of this project. He said if tomorrow he could go back to his old life and get rid of Parkinson’s disease he wouldn’t he has never felt so alive and happy. This image has been featured on The Culture Show on BBC Two, In The Guardian news paper, shown at The Lightbox gallery and The Guernsey photography festival. (Click on images to enlarge)

This is the Final image that came from the shoot, it was taken outside in natural light, i painted Tims face with face paint which was difficult as both he and I were shaking, Tim from his illness and me because i don’t have a steady hand, The Roses are to represent life and the beauty in it, they are all so Tims favorite flower.
